This is the case with La Perle des Dieux, the family-run Vendée Maison specializing in the pleasures of the sea.

Since 1887, 4 generations of the Gendreau family have been bringing to life the know-how of the last active sardine canning factory in Vendée. The Pearl of the Gods perpetuates the sardine tradition and continues to put together by hand fresh products, worked by hand, elegantly enhanced by innovative, gourmet recipes and cases with unique graphics.

Centralization of data and omnichannel deployment

The replatforming of the site laperledesdieux.com is part of a more global reflection on the digitalization of the brand and the definition of an ambitious roadmap.

This reflection is initially reflected in the centralization of customer data (web + retail) allowing La Perle des Dieux to lay the foundations of an ambitious omnichannel strategy over time:

  • Click and collect
  • Centralized accounting management
  • Omnichannel loyalty program
  • Single customer area (web + retail)

The experience at the heart of the reflection

As in any redesign, the concept of “experience” is fundamental in supporting the agency. This UX/UI thinking aims to provide the brand's customers with the most remarkable shopping experience possible to achieve our conversion goals.

As part of the project, we identified 2 major areas of optimization:

The product catalog/navigation

Our priority was to better promote the brand's product offer by making the catalog's level 1 categories accessible, directly from the navigation.

The sub-navigation of each “product” category was designed to offer La Perle des Dieux teams great freedom in animating their catalog.

The shopping tunnel

In an effort to optimize the average basket on the site, consideration was given to the promotion of free shipping costs. At the basket summary stage, customers are thus informed of the amount remaining to benefit from the free shipping costs.

Prestashop 1.6 to 1.7 migration

One of the major challenges of this replatforming concerns the upgrade to Prestashop 1.7, which remains a major technical challenge in any project.

To guarantee total continuity of La Perle des Dieux's customer relationship, data migration must be perfectly controlled in order to maintain:

  • Customer history (accounts, password, orders, baskets, invoices)
  • Data and back-office configuration (products, categories, categories, customers, employees, location data)
  • Discounts and vouchers (basket rules, discount codes, catalog price rules, customer loyalty points)

Our team has acquired a strong experience on the subject and has implemented exigent quality processes.
