Kickers, 50 years of legend!

Thanks to its modernity and audacity Kickers has been a real success with iconic artists since 1970. From David Bowie to Miss Dynamite, via Rod Stewart, the Artics Monkeys, or Pomme, Black Spri, Le Juiice, and so many others.

Today, the brand continues to shine thanks to its identity codes: red and green pellets, leather flowers...) and to offer essential pieces (textiles and shoes).

Creating a Core Model

The main challenge in supporting the agency was to create a “Core Model”, i.e. a common technical and functional base, to optimize the e-commerce deployment of all the group's brands. Royer.

The advantages:

  • Rationalization of investment (Build & Run)
  • A better “time to market” > new site deployments in less than 3 months
  • Continuous functional updates that can be deployed on all “brand” sites
  • Simplified maintainability

Replatforming Prestashop (1.6 to 1.7)

Our technical conviction was forged during a first phase of framing with the Royer Group's e-commerce teams, whose objectives were to:

Building the Core Model backlog

  • Define the target architecture of the ecosystem and its flow diagram
  • Define the responsibilities of each person within a rich ecosystem
  • Write the technical and functional specifications of the project
  • Create the design system (UX/UI) based on advanced CRO thinking

Why Prestashop?

Our technical choices for creating this Core Model were mainly guided by three criteria:

  • a strong history with the ecosystem Prestashop (over 10 years old)
  • an ability to perform a complete data migration.
  • the creation of advanced scripts allowing a complete migration of data (customer, product, orders, basket...)

Ecosystem construction

In addition to the Core Model and the e-commerce interface of the site site Kickers, the agency supported the technical teams of the Royer Group in the redesign of a platform Sylius dedicated to marketplace flows as well as in the WHO Symfony technical overhaul.
